Interview mit Schakal

Kurt Knaster: Hallo, Schakal. Nett, daß du dir Zeit für dieses Interview nimmst. Vier Spieltage sind gespielt und bis auf Aston Villa hat jede Mannschaft schon einmal verloren. Bist du zufrieden mit dem Start in die Saison?

Schakal: Ob wir zufrieden sind? Aber Hallo. Sowohl die Profis als auch die Amateure sind ungeschlagen. Anfangs hatte ich ja meine Zweifel ob das Trainingslager im städtischen Swingerclub eine gute Alternative wäre, aber die Ergebnisse sprechen für sich und die Mannschaft ist so richtig gut zusammengewachsen. Hoffentlich haben die Neuzugänge auch weiterhin einen so tollen Einfluss auf das Team? Wenn es weiterhin so läuft, dann bezahle ich den nächsten Ausflug gerne wieder. In ein paar Wochen machen wir eine erste Analyse. Gerüchten zufolge hat Herr Kurt K. vergeblich versucht, einige Mädels aus unserer "Bolzarena" abzuwerben. Schön, dass wenigstens unsere Mädels uns die Stange...äh...Treue halten.

Kurt Knaster: Wie sieht deine Planung für die Saison aus? Endlich mal wieder einen einstelligen Tabellenplatz erreichen?

Schakal: Ganz klar, wir wollen in die internationalen Ränge zurück und das auf Dauer. Diese dauerhafte Verfolgung des Abstiegsgespenstes ist ja nicht mehr zum Aushalten. Das ist uns wirklich an die Substanz gegangen. Zum Glück sind wir nicht beratungsresistent und es gab die Manager die unsere Mannschaft mit Ratschlägen deutlich optimiert haben. An dieser Stelle ein "Danke" für die "Reanimierung" von Aston Villa.

 Nachfolger für Traditionsklub gesucht

Mit dem Ende der laufenden Saison möchte das Präsidiium des Aston Villa Football Clubs die Managerstelle neu besetzen. Bewerbungen auf den frei werdenden Posten des bisherigen und langjährigen Mangers Schakal werden entgegen genommen und an die Kontrollinstanz des Vereins vertrauensvoll weitergeleitet.
 
Anforderungsprofil:

• mindestens 9 Saisons aktives Soccergame-Mitglied


• mindestens dreijährige Erstliga-Erfahrung

 Schade, schade, schade...

"Ja, es ist einfach nur traurig, wenn man das Abschneiden unserer Teams in den internationalen Wettbewerben sieht" so der Manager von Aston Villa auf die Frage eines griechischen Reporters. "Wir dümpeln international fast genauso schlecht dahin wie eure Gurkentruppen", fügte er schmunzelnd hinzu.
 
Es gibt leider nur wenige Vereine, die versuchen in allen Wettbewerben in denen sie stecken, erfolgreich zu sein. Es bleibt jedem selbst überlassen. Aber für den englischen Fußball ist es einfach ein Schlag ins Gesicht. Wo werden wir mit diesen Managern der anderen Vereine irgendwann landen? Der kurzfristige Erfolg wird über den langjährigen, und für die Liga so wichtigen relevanten, Erfolg gesetzt.
 
"Tja, vielleicht droht uns im schlimmsten Fall der Abstieg, aber WIR, der Aston Villa FC, haben England wenigstens international annehmbar vertreten!"

 Maulwurf im Villa Park

"Nein, nein, und nochmals nein", so tönte es aus der gläsernen Vorstandsetage im Villa Park. Es kam zu einem Aufeinandertreffen mit dem 'Maulwurf' und den Verantwortlichen von Aston Villa, allen voran dem Schakal.
 
"Es war das Geld, dass mich lockte", sagt die Putzfrau, die jahrelange in den Spielerkatakomben die Fliesen und Fugen reinigte und auch Zutritt zu den Personalräumen der Trainer und Manager hatte. Eine griechische Untergrundorganisation hatte versucht, Gerüchte zu verbreiten um den Rauswurf von Schakal voran zu treiben. Es wurden gefälschte Bilanzen erstellt, Verträge manipuliert, Sponsoren abgelehnt und Fanorganisationen aufgelöst.
 
Durch Amtshilfe aus Tottenham und Brescia konnten weitere Vorhaben vereitelt werden. Alle Schuldigen wurden überführt und der serbo-kroatischen Spezial-Sonder-Einheit 'HORT' übergeben. Weitere Verhöre sollen folgen.
 
"Der 'Schakal' ist unsterblich mit den Verein verbunden", so der Pressesprecher in einen Eilnachricht. "Niemand kann und wird ihn ersetzen können. Der Angriff auf unser menschliches Denkmal zeigt aber auch wie sehr die Arbeit hier im Fokus der europäischen Untergrund-Nationen steht."

Hinter geschlossen Türen in der Nähe des Villa Parks wurde vernommen, dass einer der Manager der ersten Generation und das Urgestein und das Herz von Aston Villa, zeitnah seinen Rücktritt ankündigen wird. Von Amtsmüdigkeit ist die Rede. Wieviel Wahrheit steckt hinter diesen Gerüchten? Ein Rücktritt würde Birmingham erschüttern. Alle Betroffenen wirken ratlos...

 Gregory hits out at Taylor

Derby boss John Gregory has criticised Graham Taylor for revealing County made enquiries about some Aston Villa players. Gregory admits he approached his successor at Villa Park following the lifting of the Rams' transfer embargo. He was understood to be interested in a short-term deal for several Villa players, including striker Juan Pablo Angel. But he insists the former England boss should have kept their discussion confidential. "Graham Taylor has gone public on a private conversation," Gregory told the club's official website. "Yes I did enquire about one or two at Villa but I'd like to keep that private." But Taylor claims that it was Gregory who made their conversation public knowledge. He said: "I had a conversation with John Gregory earlier this week regarding a number of players and, as far as I was concerned, it was a private conversation. "But the next thing I know, I'm being asked about Derby's enquiry by a journalist, which I find both surprising and disappointing. "That should have been the end of it. I speak to a number of managers over similar enquiries on a regular basis but always with the understanding from both sides that the calls are confidential."

 History - 1982 European Cup Final Party!

May 26th, 1982. Aston Villa FC defeats Bayern Munich 1-0 in Rotterdam to win the European Cup, the most coveted trophy in club football.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of this, the club's greatest achievement, the New York Villans will be hosting a showing of the '82 Cup Final DVD on Saturday, May 26th (venue still to be determined). Whether you were around to see it the first time, or are too young to remember, come out and have a few pints with your fellow Villa fans and enjoy the historic match footage.

 Stadium Guide: Villa Park - The Home of Aston Villa F.C

When you drive into Birmingham up the M6, then onto the A34 you will notice the impressive stadium that has been standing tall over Aston since 1897. These days Villa park has a capacity of 44,000 with future plans of it rising to a estimated 64,000. Back in the day when you could stand in football stadiums Villa park reached 81,500. The Villa park pitch measures up at 115x72 yards.

Every time you walk to a football ground you get one of two reactions, ' Wow ' or ' Is that it? '. Now being Villa fan's and we've been to may different football grounds from Doncaster's Belle Vue to Arsenal's new Emirates Stadium we like to think that most get that 'Wow' factor.
When you first approach the ground you will notice the size of it. It is simply massive, and as we have already said its going to get bigger. The clubs colors of claret and blue are proudly scattered around the ground. It is made up of four separate stands, most famously The Holte End. It is known for being one of the biggest stands behind a goal in europe.
Once inside, the home fans get that really home feel about the ground. Once again claret and blue scattered everywhere, various bars for food, drink, betting and programmes.
On the day the atmosphere at Villa park can be extremely loud and I'm sure very intimidating for those away players, however not as loud as it was back in the days.

 Wenger isn't worried if Bendtner and Adebayor don't get on, as long as they score goals

Arsene Wenger sees no reason why Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner cannot put their differences aside to forge a formidable strike partnership.
Substitute Bendtner struck the last-gasp equaliser against Aston Villa after latching on to a knock-down from Adebayor.

The Togo frontman did not celebrate with the scorer, sparking more claims they are still at loggerheads following their astonishing on-pitch bust-up in the 5-1 Carling Cup semi-final drubbing at Tottenham in January.


Wenger, though, refused to read too much into the apparent frostiness between the players in Saturday's 1-1 draw and said: "I didn't see that. Frankly I don't know [if they are friends]. I believe they have a normal relationship but what is the most important thing in football is that you respect the game. You do what the game demands.
"The great players always do what the game wants. If I want to win and to win I have to give you the ball then if I'm a great player I still give you the ball. For me the emotional sympathy is not a big importance for the big players. They are winners and they respect the game so much it goes above liking or disliking.
"I don't know if they like each other or not but basically I don't see there is a problem. You don't have to be friends to play well together. I haven't seen any evidence that there is big friction there. There was one incident at Tottenham but they sorted it out.
"You have it in every team but I think they get on quite well. Once the suspicion is in people's heads they look at every single movement to see if there is a problem or not but I don't think there is a problem."
Bendtner himself does not believe that his row with Adebayor or their similar statures is proof they cannot form a partnership. The Dane said: "I think every time I have come on, we play all right together. I think defenders have more problems because suddenly they have two big, strong guys to deal with.
"It seems that I can change things when I come on so it's good. But whether I play with Ade, or whoever plays up front, we all do what we do and give our best for the team. I want to help the team any way I can. If the boss wants me to do it that way then I will do it as a sub. Obviously every player wants to be in the starting 11 and I'm no different."
Bendtner is likely to be a substitute again in the Champions League clash against AC Milan tomorrow, with Wenger set to play Adebayor up front and deploy Alexander Hleb in a deep-lying striker role.
